Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi is an Indian actress and model, who was born on the 10th of April in 1986. Her most prominent roles have been in Hindi-language movies. Ayesha Takia was awarded with the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 for her performance as the star of Taarzan The Wonder Car, the film that introduced her to the screen. In the following years, Takia was in films like Paathshaala (2011) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2006) and Socha Na Tha (2007). The first commercial she appeared in was for Complan which is a popular drink that promotes well-being. In the defining I'm A Complan Boy I'm A Complan girl commercial she appeared alongside Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. In the remix song Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin her was also featured. Because of its popularity it brought her to the forefront throughout the period of Indian remixes. Then she began receiving film offers. Takia is supposed to make her debut on Socha Na Tha due to production delays, was only made aware of Taarzan shortly after her first appearance. Ayesha showed her moral courage by expressing her disapproval of her father in the law Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party MP Abu Azmi on the punishment of rape victims. While participating in a PETA India campaign, she signed a public declaration stating that she is vegan. In 2006, she was on the listing of the top Indian women.
